This is story about a man who createdâand woreâa fake, bleeding uterus made out of a bladder and goat’s blood. This is also a story about an inventor breaking profound taboos to revolutionize the lives of women. Either way, how a school dropout in India came to invent a cheaper way to make sanitary pads is a tale at once weird and inspiring, as chronicled in a recent BBC article.
This is not a corporate entity. This is a real person, doing good work for others because it makes sense.
I’m reposting this without tags, because I forgot that when you tag things other people can search it. People whose opinions about things are not always relevant, and just because they are offended does not make them right. Scientifically speaking male and female brains work differently, and so to lump anything that affects neurological behavior categorically as affecting both genders identically is incorrect. The fact that some women with Aspergers seek to have a better understanding of other women with Aspergers is proof in itself that they do not identify with their male counterparts and in turn are in search of just that….a better understanding through other female examples. I may be repeating myself, but just so I’m clear, female and male, the brains are different. Also, if there was only one category for everything, then how would I satisfy my need to categorize and collect all the differences? The truth is Asp ergers. (out there)…get it….DO YOU!?
